General

Booking & Operator

    • All Queenstown private lesson bookings are made through NZSki.
    • Lesson start times, durations, prices, rescheduling, refunds, and all other terms and conditions are set by NZSki.
    • SnowChaser has no control over daily operational decisions made by NZSki, including final instructor assignments, mountain operations, or lesson schedules.

Pricing

    • Prices listed are for private lessons at Coronet Peak and The Remarkables Snowsports School, Queenstown NZ – Winter 2026.

Third-Party Providers

    • SnowChaser may work with other third-party providers and facilitate reservations on your behalf.
    • Each provider’s own terms and conditions, including cancellation and refund policies, apply.

 Fees & Non-Refundable Charges

    • SnowChaser Booking fees, service fees, transaction charges, and concierge fees are non-refundable.
    • Short-notice changes of mind or circumstances do not guarantee refund.
    • Refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis, depending on the third-party provider involved.

Travel Insurance

    • SnowChaser strongly advises all international guests to have comprehensive travel insurance to cover potential losses from disrupted travel plans.
    • Some travel insurance policies require specific ski, snowboard, or adventure activity add-ons—please check the policy terms with your insurance provider.

Liability & Legal Notes

    • SnowChaser acts as a booking agent and facilitator; liability for lessons, equipment, or operational matters rests with NZSki or other third-party providers.
    • Customers agree to comply with all applicable NZ laws and the terms set by the providers.  

Force Majeure

    • SnowChaser is not liable for failure to perform obligations due to events beyond our control, including natural disasters, strikes, government restrictions, or mountain closures.

    • Customers will be notified as soon as practicable in the event of force majeure.

Queenstown Private Lessons

1. Instructor Allocation

  • Private ski and snowboard lessons in Queenstown are booked directly through NZSki. SnowChaser makes a lesson booking on your behalf. 

  • SnowChaser instructors are employee instructors of NZSki and work across both Coronet Peak and The Remarkables ski areas.

  • SnowChaser will request a particular instructor based on the availability information received at the time of booking.

  • In most cases you will have the same instructor throughout your booking; however, due to scheduling requirements, requested instructors cannot be guaranteed.

  • Occasionally, scheduling changes, injury, or illness may require your instructor to be changed. This is a normal occurrence within the ski industry and is not generally grounds for a refund.

  • NZSki considers individual cases but does not usually provide refunds for instructor changes, no-shows, or changes of mind.

  • SnowChaser has no control over the final instructor scheduling decisions made by NZSki but takes every care to ensure bookings are scheduled appropriately.

2. Pricing

  • Prices are for private lessons at Coronet Peak Snowsports School, Queenstown, for the 2026 winter season.

  • Prices are correct at the time of publishing but are subject to change.

  • Lesson quotes may include booking, concierge, administration or transaction fees.

  • These fees may be itemised separately or included within package pricing and are non-refundable.

3. Rescheduling

  • Lesson rescheduling may be possible depending on availability and is less likely during peak periods.

  • Requests must be made at least 72 hours before the start of your first booked lesson.

  • SnowChaser must be notified by both email and phone.

  • A minimum NZ$50 administration fee may apply to rescheduled bookings.

  • Larger booking changes may incur additional administration fees.

  • Package bookings require a minimum of five full days’ notice for date changes. This will be dependant on availability.

4. Cancellations & Refunds

Lesson-only bookings

  • If you booked directly with NZSki and requested a SnowChaser instructor, refund requests must be made directly through NZSki.

  • If your lessons were paid for through SnowChaser:

    • Cancellations made at least five full days before your first lesson may receive a partial refund of lesson costs. Within 5 days of the start of the booking, no refund is guaranteed.  In this case rescheduling may be possible. In the case of injury, NZski will consider each case, with medical evidence. 

    • Cancellations made between 30 and five days before your first lesson may receive a 50% refund of lesson costs.

    • No refunds are available within 72 hours of the first lesson.

  • Booking fees, concierge fees, administration fees and transaction charges are non-refundable.

Package bookings

  • For advance bookings, full payment is required 30 days before your booking commencement date.

  • The initial 15% deposit is non-refundable.

  • Cancellations made more than 30 days before arrival should receive a full refund less the 15% deposit.

  • A refund of 50% of the remaining amount may be refunded up to 5 days out from the booking start date. (except for any funds paid to third parties that are not recoverable)

  • No refunds are available within five days of the booking commencement date.

  • Rescheduling may be offered where availability permits.

  • No refunds will be issued for missed lessons due to weather conditions, change of mind or no shows. Rescheduling is not available for no shows without prior agreement.

5. Mountain Closed Days / NZSki Operational Decisions

  • If the mountain where your lesson is booked does not open and your lesson cannot be rescheduled, NZSki’s closed day T&C’s will apply. (This does not include SnowChaser concierge fees, booking/admin fees or transaction charges.)

  • NZski may refund private lesson costs for closed days, however your rental equipment and lift passes are transferable, but not refundable.

  • It is at NZSki’s discretion whether a closed day is within their control, and is their liability. For example- NZski may decide not to refund if the closed day is due to extreme weather. 

  • Lift passes and rental equipment are transferable but are not refundable.

  • SnowChaser booking, concierge, administration and transaction fees remain non-refundable.

  • SnowChaser has no control over the weather or daily operational decisions made by NZSki.

6. Travel Insurance Recommendation

  • We strongly recommend all guests obtain comprehensive travel insurance to cover cancellations, disrupted travel plans and other unforeseen circumstances.

Queenstown Transport

1. Booking & Operators

  • SnowChaser works with a number of local, private transport companies.
    • The specific company assigned to your booking will depend on availability, the package you have selected, and the arrangement that best suits your needs.
  • Prices vary depending on whether you select set times or request a more flexible service with driver on call and optional extras.

  • Each transport company operates under its own cancellation policy and terms & conditions.
    • Please contact us for the specific details applicable to your booking.
  1. Mountain Closed Days / NZSki Operational Decisions

     

  • Private transport providers operate independently of NZSki. They are not obligated to provide refunds due to NZSki operational changes, mountain closures, or lesson cancellations.
    • Some transport packages allow you to repurpose the vehicle and driver for alternative use on the day booked.
  • SnowChaser recommends booking flexible transport options to maximize the use of your vehicle and driver if unexpected changes occur.
  1. Travel Insurance Recommendation

     

  • We strongly advise guests to obtain comprehensive travel insurance that covers disruptions to travel plans, including vehicle hire, transport services, and activity changes.
  • If your flights are cancelled, or you need to cancel or reschedule your trip for another reason, please contact SnowChaser before reaching out to NZSki or Snopro. Whatsapp +64212259553  snowchasernz@gmail.com Rescheduling your lessons or rentals can affect other SnowChaser bookings, such as transport arrangements or instructor choice, so letting us know first helps us coordinate and make changes smoothly.

Please note that many parts of your booking, such as ski lessons, lift passes, and some rentals, are operated by NZSki or Snopro, and their own cancellation and rescheduling policies apply. SnowChaser cannot control, refund, or reschedule these products on your behalf.

Cancellation and Booking General :

Full payment is required 30 days prior to your booking start date.

After the proposal is accepted and a 15% deposit paid, a cancellation will require notification by email, and phone if short notice. The 15% deposit will be non-refundable, however you may receive a refund minus 15%,  if cancellation is made up to 30 days prior to the booking date, and a 50% refund of the remainder of the package price,  if cancellation is made up to 5 full days before the start of the booking.

Except for any funds paid to third parties that are not recoverable. 

Within 5 days of the start of the booking no refund will be issued. In this case rescheduling may be possible -availability depending.

In the case of a short notice booking inside 30 days. Full payment will be required to make a reservation. 

15% of this total will immediately become non- refundable. 

A refund of 50% of the remaining amount may be refunded up to 5 days out from the booking start date.(except for any funds paid to third parties that are not recoverable)

No refunds will be issued for missed lessons due to weather conditions, or no shows. Rescheduling is not available for no shows without prior agreement.

If you need to request a refund or make changes check with us whether your lesson bookings are via SnowChaser or are direct with NZski:

  1. Check your confirmation email from NZSki or Snopro. It contains your booking reference, dates, and sometimes extra contact details that will help your request.
  2. Contact the operator directly with your booking information and reason for cancellation:

Snopro (rental equipment delivery bookings)

  1. Include in your email or call:
    • Booking reference number
    • Name on the booking
    • Travel dates / lesson or rental dates
    • Reason for cancellation or change (e.g., flight cancelled)
  1. Follow the operator’s instructions for refunds or rescheduling.

Important: We strongly recommend having comprehensive travel insurance that covers flight cancellations, transport disruptions, or mountain operational closures.
