Terms & Conditions

Instructor choice:

Private ski or snowboard lessons in Queenstown are booked directly through NZski. SnowChaser instructors work as employee instructors of NZski, who run both Coronet Peak and The Remarkables ski areas.  SnowChaser will refer a particular instructor for lessons, based on the information we have received about availability at the time of booking. Most often, your instructor won’t change, and depending on availability you should have the same instructor throughout your booking,  However, this is not always possible due to scheduling conflicts. As such, requested instructors cannot be guaranteed. Occasionally scheduling issues, injury or illness will require a change to your assigned instructor, this is a normal occurrence in the ski industry and may not be grounds for a refund. Nzski will look at individual cases, but they do not usually refund for no-shows or change of mind due to instructor change. Snowchaser has no control over final instructor scheduling decisions made by NZski. All care is given to make sure each booking is scheduled appropriately.

Prices

Prices are for private lessons at Coronet Peak Snowsports School Queenstown  2025 winter.  Prices are correct at the time of publishing but are subject to change.

Sometimes a lesson price quote will include transaction fees, concierge or booking fees, which are non-refundable. Or the price may be included, but not itemised in larger package quote.

Rescheduling

If you change your mind about a lesson at short notice, rescheduling is sometimes possible, depending on availability, this is less likely during peak times.  This must be requested 72 hours before the start of your first booked lesson. SnowChaser must be informed beforehand by email and by phone call. Rescheduling will incur a minimum $50 admin fee. Large changes to bookings will require a larger fee.
For large bookings and packages, 5 full days’ notice is required for date changes.

We recommend travel insurance to cover your loses in the event of cancelled travel plans.

We use a number of local, private transport companies. The company we book you with, will depend on availability, the package you have booked, and the arrangement that best suits your needs.  Prices vary depending whether set times are pre-selected, or if you have requested a more flexible service with driver on call and optional extras.

Each company has it’s own cancellation policy and terms & conditions. Please ask for more specific information regarding your booking.

Mountain closed days:

Private transport companies work separately to NZski, and do not need to refund due to NZski operational decisions.  With some car packages you are able to plan a different use of the vehicle and driver for the day. We recommend booking the more flexible transport option, which will enable you to utilise your car and driver for another purpose for the day it is booked.

All Queenstown private lesson bookings are booked via NZski. Lesson start times, lengths, prices, reschedule and refund policies + T&Cs are all set by NZski.
